Benefits

  • Increased blood flow, endurance and performance
  • Breaks down adhesions and long-standing scar tissue
  • Postural correction for desk-based and repetitive strain
  • Faster recovery and reduced injury risk
  • Eases headaches, migraines and neck tension
  • Calms the nervous system — pressure is always paced to you

What to expect

  • A short consultation covering training load, injuries, medication and the areas giving you trouble.
  • Simple movement and range-of-motion checks so we treat the cause, not just the sore spot.
  • Firm, progressive work through the deeper layers using forearms, elbows and thumbs, with constant pressure feedback.
  • Trigger point release and, where useful, stretching or cupping folded into the same session.
  • A plan for the week ahead: what to load, what to leave, and what to stretch.

Safety notes & contraindications

  • Let me know about blood thinners, recent surgery, fractures or DVT history before we start — these change how I work or rule treatment out.
  • Not suitable over open wounds, active infections, acute swelling or undiagnosed lumps.
  • Pregnancy is fine with modified positioning after the first trimester; tell me at booking.
  • Deep work should feel like a strong, workable pressure — never sharp or breath-holding. Pressure is adjusted the moment you say so.
  • Mild soreness for 24–48 hours is normal; anything sharp, numb or spreading should be reported to me and your GP.

Aftercare

  • Drink plenty of water for the rest of the day.
  • Keep moving gently — a short walk beats sitting still.
  • Avoid heavy training or maximal lifts for 24 hours.
  • Warm bath or shower for lingering tightness; ice only on an acute flare.
  • Do the two or three stretches given to you daily until the next session.

FAQs

Will it hurt?
It is firm, but productive rather than painful. We work at a pressure you can breathe through and adjust constantly.
How often should I come?
Weekly or fortnightly while resolving a specific issue, then every four to six weeks for maintenance.
What should I wear?
Come as you are — shorts and a vest are ideal. Towels are used for modesty throughout.
Can I train the same day?
Light mobility or easy cardio is fine. Save heavy sessions for the following day.
